Cleft Palate Education and Support

Veterinary Technicians saving pets by educating others on care for cleft palates and other birth defects.

Cleft Puppies Deserve A Chance

Being in the Veterinary Industry, we see puppies brought in with birth defects.

Many are recommended to be euthanized.

We want to show you there is a chance.

Meet Our Pups

Lucas

Lucas is who started this all! He has a full cleft palate and a uni-lateral cleft lip. He is living his best life with a member of our family because our first rescue couldn’t just be adopted by anyone.

Chuck

Chuck has a full cleft palate and has the case of the major wrinkles. ;) He was born June of 2020 and now lives in an amazing home with a doggie brother and a human brother!

Frank

Frank is one of those special little guys that makes you question everything you are doing. He was born September 2020 and I am so fortunate to get lots of updates and pictures. He lives with two dog siblings and two awesome two-legged siblings that help take good care of all his needs. He has a full cleft palate.

Edith

This American Bully has a full cleft palate. She was born October 2020. She was one of our more challenging clefts, but with lots of help (and lack of sleep), she has continued to grow into a big beautiful girl. She has been the first cleft to already have surgery to repair it.

Gwen

Gwen was the tiniest pup we have had surrendered to us at just 5.04 ounces! She has a bilateral cleft lips and a full cleft palate. Born November 2020. She is lucky enough to be a little sister to our very first save….Lucas!

We love this tiny tot!

Greysen

Greysen was born January 2021 and is growing up to be one of the cutest little boys! He is still in our amazing care, getting lots of TLC. He has a unilateral cleft lip and a full cleft palate. He has been the first one we have tried a Gelatin diet and he loves it!

MilesMiles was a tough one. Born February 2021, his cleft was unfortunately not seen by the Veterinary Staff when he was born via c-section. He luckily had a very good breeder who realized something wasn’t right. She took him to another Veterinary Clinic and there is where they discovered his cleft. We took him into our care and he did very well until he was a little over a week old. In the end his little body couldn’t handle all of the conditions he had on top of the cleft. We loved you so much baby Miles, thank you for teaching us.

Georgie Greystoke

This gorgeous boy was rescued May 25, 2021. He was born with Hydrocephalus, which basically means “water on the brain”. This was our first partnership with Road Dogs and Rescue, who reached out to see if we could foster (of course we said YES!). He was adopted to an awesome home that continues his medications that keep the fluid build up under control.

Rip WheelerAKA Boyd Brusselsnout! This cutie came to us from his breeder who lovingly surrendered him knowing he would get the time and care he needed. His breeder knew how to tube feed, so she gave him an amazing start and he was an easy little guy to take care of. He was born with a full cleft palate June 5,2021 and we took him a few days later. Most of the time when we get them days later they are malnourished, but not this guy! A huge thank you to his breeder who found the cleft and immediately cared for him the correct way!
